Next-Generation Navigation System
The available next-generation voice-activated Hard Disk Drive (HDD) Navigation System [1] on the RX utilizes a higher resolution eight-inch LCD placed closer to eye level to help you remain focused on the road. An entirely new and more intuitive interface was also developed to display a linear progression of your commands as you use different functions within the system. Featuring voice command, an advanced voice-recognition system, you can search for destinations using your natural speaking voice and phrasing. In English, Spanish and French no less. "Show me Chinese restaurants," for example, will display locations in your immediate vicinity. And once a destination is selected, the system will calculate up to three different routes and provide audible and visual directions as you drive.

[1] The voice-activated HDD Navigation System is designed to assist in locating an address or point of interest. XM NavTraffic® (not available in Hawaii) requires a monthly service fee and is designed to provide real-time traffic or alternative routes of travel. Discrepancies may be encountered between the system and your actual location. Road system changes may affect the accuracy of the information provided. Rely on your common sense to decide whether to follow a specified route. Detailed coverage not available in every city or roadway. Periodic Navigation updates available at an additional cost. Please see your Navigation System Owner's Manual for further details.

Voice-Recognition Technology
The RX comes equipped with a new, highly advanced voice-recognition system that offers a much higher recognition rate than conventional systems. With this new technology, placing compatible Bluetooth® [1] phone calls and operating commonly used features like climate control and audio is remarkably simple.

With the available Navigation System [2] , voice-recognition technology is taken to new heights with voice command. The most advanced voice-recognition system in its class, voice command enables you to place compatible Bluetooth phone calls and operate climate, audio and navigation functions using normal, everyday speech. If you say, "It’s too hot in here," for example, the climate control will automatically lower the temperature by four degrees. "Call Steve at work" will be met with just that. And, if you say, "Show me Chinese restaurants," the navigation screen will display locations in your surrounding area.

Bluetooth® and Available USB Audio Support
For the first time on a Lexus, compatible portable audio players enabled with Bluetooth [1] audio profile capability [2] can be controlled using the onboard audio controls in the RX. And, because it’s a wireless technology, your entire music library is accessible without ever taking the player out of your pocket or purse. An available USB connection also enables you to control your compatible iPod® [3] audio player through the RX interface and offers the added benefit of powering the device whenever it is plugged in. In both cases, information such as artist name, track name and album name can be displayed on the audio or available navigation screen.

[1] The Bluetooth® technology phones listed on lexus.com have been tested for compatibility with Lexus vehicles. Performance will vary based on phone software version, coverage and your wireless carrier. Phones are warranted by their manufacturer, not Lexus.

Heads-up Display
A first for Lexus, the Heads-up Display system on the RX can project simple navigation directions, audio information and vehicle speed on the windshield in front of you, so you can spend more time focused on the road ahead. Unlike other Heads-up Display systems that provide intersection names, requiring the driver to locate street signs, the navigation directions on the system in the RX are provided using a countdown of the remaining distance before an action needs to be taken and an animated arrow that guides you intuitively through turns. Also, unlike other systems that require an unsightly designated viewing box in the windshield, the windshield on the RX was specifically designed so a viewing box was not needed, resulting in a windshield that is not only unmarred, but allows the projected information to be positioned at different heights for your convenience.

Mark Levinson® Premium Surround Sound Audio System and Lexus Premium Sound System
The placement and angle of every speaker and the careful consideration of every component were essential in the development of the Lexus Premium Audio System in the RX. The result is a system that immerses the driver and passenger in remarkably vivid sound. For the true audiophile, an available 15-speaker Mark Levinson Premium Surround Sound Audio System uses 7.1-channel architecture and 330 watts of maximum power, all channels driven at less than 0.1% THD, 20–20,000 Hz [1] to deliver a virtual sweet spot of sound that encompasses the entire cabin in sound quality that was once only reserved for six-figure home-audio systems. Multi-Adjustable Rear Seats
For added comfort for your passengers, the rear seats can slide forward or backward and the seatbacks can recline.

Dual-Screen Rear Entertainment System
An available dual-screen Rear-Seat Entertainment System allows the left and right rear-seat passengers to watch or listen to the audio or video source of their choosing through independent A/V inputs. With seven-inch LCD screens located behind the driver's and front passenger's headrests, each system features a pair of wireless headphones [1] and can be used as a DVD player, audio player or game console via audio and video input jacks. For your convenience, a single remote controls both systems, and a standard electrical outlet is also provided.

[1] Headphones are for passenger use only. Do not use while operating vehicle.

Heated and Ventilated Front Seats
Whatever the weather, the available heated and ventilated front seats will be appreciated. On cold days, the seats can be heated to one of three settings through zones distributed throughout the seatbacks and lower seat cushions. For optimal comfort, the amount of heat provided varies by the location of the zone (your thighs get more heat than your upper back, for instance). In warmer weather, you can select from three ventilation settings to have fans housed inside the seatbacks and cushions circulate air through perforations in the leather trim.

HomeLink® Remote Control
The HomeLink® universal transceiver allows you to control up to three compatible remote devices—the garage door, your entry gate, even the living room lights—all with the touch of a button.

Adaptable Cargo Area
The folding 40/20/40-split rear seats can slide forward or backward with little effort. Also included is a newly designed two-part tonneau cover which conceals valuables or loose gear when the rear hatch is closed and separates when the rear hatch is opened, enabling you to access items in the cargo area without retracting the cover. For added convenience, the rear seats fold effortlessly with remote levers on either side of the rear-door opening.

Multi-Information Display with Steering-Wheel Switchgear
The multi-information display on the RX uses white OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) technology. Unlike conventional TFT displays that require backlighting, the OLED display on the RX offers superior visibility through vibrant self-luminescent characters sharply displayed on a high-contrast black background and ensures readability from an angle wide enough for even the front passenger to read. A multi-information switch on the steering wheel enables the driver to operate the available Intuitive Park Assist, Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS) and to select an array of other personalized settings without removing your hands from the steering wheel.

Power Tilt-Away Seats and Steering Wheel
To make entering and exiting the vehicle easier, the driver's seat and steering wheel can automatically retract when the ignition is turned off.

Courtesy Lamps
From exterior puddle lamps to the illuminated engine Start/Stop button, it's easy to navigate the interior of an RX. Overhead spotlamps are located above the front and rear seating areas, as well as in the driver and front-passenger footwell areas.
